SportsCollective has a vision to revolutionize the sports industry and add value to the life of each sportsperson through the use of smart contracts and blockchain technology. The goal of the SportsCollective platform is to ensure greater longevity for the professional lifespan of an athlete. The platform aims at bridging the gap between sports and the technology industry.  

The management team consists of a few individuals who are well known and influential in the local sports scene in Singapore. They consist of co-founders Dr Sheik Alau’ddin Yacob Marrican and Alfred Lye, Andrew Yap who is the Chief Operating Officer and Dareius Lim who is the Chief Marketing Officer.  

Dr Sheik was a two-times Silat World Champion and four times recipient of Coach of the Year award from Singapore National Olympic Council. Alfred Lye has vast experience in the public and private sectors and was also a board member to the former Wushu Federation. Dareius Lim, who is an early crypto adopter, is the co-founder of Crazy Rich Coin. He was featured on Channel News Asia dealing with crypto trading and mining. 

All of them are sports enthusiasts and realize that there are a few major issues in the current sports industry. Athletes have a short professional lifespan and hence have to rely on sponsorship and brands to maintain their earning power. There is a lack of engagement between fans and athletes. Education often takes precedence over sports during the school years, especially in Asia. Aspiring athletes may not have the full support of their parents, in terms of emotion and finance. 

SportsCollective ($SPORTS) remedies these issues through the implementation of smart contracts and blockchain technology on its platform. The platform will provide a marketplace for athletes to curate NFTs and provide them to their fans against a fee. This helps in generating a stream of income for athletes without the involvement of many middlemen. 

Launched on the Ethereum network (ERC20- token), $SPORTS is backed by the expert team of Meta Factory that has worked on numerous successful projects, equipping them with the knowledge and experience in its development and future roadmap.
